Mark started his career at the humble surroundings of Aveley before moving onto Isthmian League Enfield. After this he moved on to Aldershot Town, where manager George Borg believed he would eventually progress into a Premier League player. Injuries curtailed his progress however, but he still won the Player of the Year award in 2000/01. He has had trials at Southampton and Crewe, and moved into the Conference with Gravesend on a one year deal. After completing his spell, which won him the Player of the Year award, he moved on a free transfer to Victoria Road.
