Born in 1972, Hackey boy Leon started as a schoolboy at Charlton Athletic. After this he moved on to Bishop's Stortford where he was spotted by Exeter City. 61 games and 9 goals later, he was sent out on loan to Welling for a month. After this he signed for Irish team St Patrick's Athletic where he won a League title. He came back to Welling again and spent one season scoring 6 goals. He then went on to Margate for three seasons where he won the Player of the Year award in his last season and was invited to train with Trinidad and Tobago. Out of contract, he then moved to Victoria Road.
