Firecracker X - The Wrecks

This was the tenth running of The Firecracker which has earn't the reputation of being the most prestigious meeting in the country for showing off Classic Banger Material. Entry is limited to some 200 cars due to pit space, and there are restrictions on what you can bring, ie Mk2 Granadas are not acceptable nor this year was any jap material, unless they are limo or hearse versions.
Around 170 cars made it too the pits though not all made the track.

Below is a selection of the remains of some of them after a very hard day's racing.

702 - Nathan King's Buick Skylark	801 - Steve Hemmings' DS420 Limo	214 - Tony Abrehart's P4
905 - Andreas Vetterman's P5	754 - Dave Nichols' Granny hearse	604 - Mark Mitchell's Amstrong Siddeley Limo served him well
842 - Ray Outhwaite's XJS	895 - Dave Toyer's Rolls Royce Silver Shadow	684 - Alan Morphet's Mk7 Jag
73 - Scott Carter's Plymouth Volare Estate	822 - Nick Allam's Zil Limo hardly looks sratched	277 - Gary Staples' P5
676 - Tony Garrod's Lincoln town Limo took a huge bender.	471 - Terry Freakes Series 3 XJ6	Byford (992) got the Daimler onto the track in this state but wasn't allowed to race again.
771 - Ruud van de Bruggan's P5 was well snapped	712 - Rob Kokx's Chrysler Newport Estate	921 - Nigel Riley's Cadilac Coupe de Ville
651 - Justin Woolner's Roll Royce Silver Cloud	312 - Greig Cheeseman's Chevy Malibu Classic	767 - Johan van Rysselburghe's FX4 Taxi
711 - Kevin Major's DS420 Hearse	931 - Ricky Humphrey's jacked down Jenson Interceptor	158 - Shane Davies' Mazda Estate was a real target being the only jap car!
