Under 1800cc Bangers - WQR
21 cars attended the meeting all chasing world qualifying points for the November final. Being under 1800 cc, material was the usual Cortinas, Capris and Bluebirds, the only exceptions being a pair of Mk3 Granadas in the hands of Colin Farley (7) and Jack France (245). There were two 15 lap races that were won by Dave King (206) and Keith Painter (46) while the final 10 lap dash went to Stuart Phillips (342).

Brown (102) takes an excursion onto the shale as Wood (72) flashes by.


Painter (46) drove at speed all night.


France (245) dies on the exit of the pit bend.


Brown (102) and Dale Hughes (27) get in a spin.


France (245) expires after taking out Dale Fairless (141).


Dave King (206) got it all wrong and parked under the stranded Fairless car.


Wilde (4) destroys the 79 car's rear end.


Painter (46) takes out Farley (7) and goes onto win race 2.


Farley (7), Stuart Phillips (342) and Welland (264).


Fairless (141) is pushed of the track.


while Mr Worm (79) had to be dragged out.


Sonny Sherwood (348), Wood (72) and Hunt (528).


Brown (102) in trouble again as Phillips powers past to a race win.


The Failess capri (141) was well jacked.


Oaksy (471) lost a bit of steering.


Wilde (4) certainly hit the 79 car with some force.
