Unlimited Bangers
The first mid-week meeting at St. Columb attracted only 13 drivers. Material was spiced up by Dave Spooner (66) who debuted a Baby Mustang and Paul Bryant (123) who returned his Crasharama BMW 635. Two heats and a final produce heat wins for Jay Tomkins (290) and Steve Brown (108) while Stuart Squires (145) took the final.

Williams (955) gets spun by car 96.


May (778) stranded on the home straight as Tomkins (290) heads for his win.


Rookie (96) finds himself facing the oncoming traffic.


Tomkins (290) takes a swing at May (778).


Bryant (123) can't avoid contact with the 96 car.

managing to block the track.


before they both back off.


Bridger (406) spins out James (262).


Tomkins (290) and May (778) go the long way round.


Lean (358) goes in heavy on Ford (122).


Tomkins put Lean's estate out of shape.


Williams survived for another day.


Tomkins used his Mk2 to give effect.


Spooner's Mustang failed to make the final


Bridger's Mk2 may not live to race again.


We might see Bryant's BMW again though.
