Team Meeting (1600 cc) - Action
9 teams of 6 should have given us 54 cars, however, a couple of teams were short which resulted in about 50 cars. Not a lot of material due to 1600 cc limited though there were 3 Mk3 Tinas and 3 Stellas amongst the Mk4 Tinas, Capris and Bluebirds and the one VW Golf of Tim Lawry (831).

The Teams were 3 Litre Mag 'A' (3A), 3 Litre Mag 'B' (3B), The Bulleys (BS), Men in Black (MB), The Real Deal (RD), The Seasiders (SS), Team Mental (TM), Team Rhino (TR) and Team Tina (TT).

Format was 2 heats of 3 cars per team, one heat of 4 cars per team and an all in final. The DD did not count towards the competition. there were heat wins for Bryan Webb (RD 283), Colin Farley (3B 7) and Stu Cummings (3A 857). Dale Hughes (BS 27) won the final from Mark Simmons (TM 355) and Farley (3B 7), which resulted in ateam win for the 3 Litre Mag 'B' team from the Bulleys and Team Mental. The DD was won by Michael Strudwick (183) from Simon Byrne (172).

The weather was appaling hence the quality of the photos, not helped by wet shale that stuck to everyone!

Ken Angle (SS 265) is airbourne thanks to Tom Terry (TM 151).

Tim Lawry (TR 831) is sent spinning by Dale Hughes (BS 27).


Michael Strudwick (3B 183) gets hooked up on the wire.

Mark Rogers (BS 66) and Steve Anscombe (SS 194) lead off heat 2.

Anscombe (SS 194) gets dumped on the shale.


Graham Pierce (TR 832) is sent flying through the wet shale.

Tom Terry (TM 151) bites into the shale.

Bryan Webb (RD 283) lands a large portion on Pip Williams (SS 136).


Dez Wood (3B 72) goes in hard on Garry Pratt (TM 97).

Rogers (BS 66) and Hughes (BS 27) slip past the stranded Williams (SS 136).

Webb (RD 283) pushes Angle (SS 265).


Neil Osborne (SS 28) and Mark Simmons (TM 355) combine to remove Wodd (3B 72).

End of racing for Williams (SS 136).

James Dodge (RD 702) piles into Sonny Sheerwood (TM 348).


A limping Lee Hughes (BS 294)

Webb (RD 283) is clattered into the fence.

Chaos breaks out on the pit bend.


Colin Farley (3B 7) contributed to the 3 Litre Mag 'B' win with a heat win and 2 3rd places.

Though on this occasion he is caught by Mick Kilford (TM 202).

Osborne (SS 28) goes in hard on Carlos Perez (3A 05), but Kilford (TM 202) takes the full force.


Danny Lucus (RD 800) steams Dean Nicholson (MB 803).

Sheerwood (TM 348) is well jacked as Farley (3B 7) lights up!

The DD got off to a flyer as Lucus (800) fences Jimmy Hyatt (813).


Anscombe (194) and Terry (151) rub door handles.

Richard Flockton (670) delivers the killer blow to Perez (05).

Simmons (355) and Strudwick (183) go head to head.
