Siamese Racing
There were three novelty races for Siamese pairs!!! These were combinations of a Metro on top of a Sierra, the real difference from previous attempts at this type of race was that there were two drivers, the Sierra Driver had control of the pedals and gears while the Metro driver (yes two drivers per combo) did the steering. There were 5 combos all of whom did remarkably well, though Richard Flockton (670) and Mark Rogers (66) were the stars, determined to roll at least one combo which they did in the final. They went on to win the final to add to their heat win.

The misplaced programme caused problems with names again.

Micky Thorpe (695) and 547.

801 - ?

244 - John and Matt Lee

Mark Rogers (66 - Metro) and Richard Flockton (670).

804 - ?

There was no holding back on the speed front.

Or the fencing!

On form Flckton & Rogers take out 804.

leaving it hooked on the fence.

Despite the lack of stability, none fell over by themselves.

though contact with the fence did occur.

Rogers & Flockon finally managed to roll the 801 combo.

and then tried the same trick on the Lee's (244).

It's a long way down when rolled.

Flockton & Rogers celebrated their 2nd win with a head on with 244.
