Descendants of George CRUMP and Mary Ann BIRD
George CRUMP, born abt. 1803, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire.
The Crump family seems to have been in Wolverhampton from the early 19th century until the present day. They were mostly engaged in the lock making industry and lived in the centre of Wolverhampton, in the vicinity of Charles Street and St Peter's Square. This area was cleared in the mid-1950s and it seems that those family members then living there were moved by the council to the Low Hill area of Wolverhampton.
