CAMPAIGN

PRESS FOR CHANGE: is a political lobbying and educational organisation, which campaigns to achieve equal civil rights and liberties for all transgender people in the United Kingdom, through legislation and social change.

EDUCATIONAL

GENDYS: A network for all who have encountered gender identity problems personally, transsexuals, transgendered people and gender dysphoric people of either sex, and for those who provide care, both professional and lay.

G.I.R.E.S. : The Gender Identity Research and Education Society's objectives are to advance education into gender identity and intersex issues and in particular, promote and publish research, and educate the general public.

FAMILIES

DEPEND : An organisation offering free, confidential and non-judgemental advice, information and support to all family members, spouses, partners and friends of transsexual people in the UK.

MERMAIDS: Mermaids is a support group for gender variant children and teenagers.

MEMBERSHIP

BEAUMONT SOCIETY : mainly aimed at the 'wider' trans community, the BS is reputed to be the largest and longest established support group in the UK, and have developed a support network which has been at the forefront of the transgender, transvestite , transsexual and cross dressing community since 1966!

FTM UK : The FTM network is an informal and ad-hoc self help group, open to all female to male transgender and transsexual people, or those exploring this aspect of their gender. Currently it has over 750 members in Britain and Europe, and contact with F to M groups in America, Belgium, France, Russia, China, Japan and Australia.

THE GENDER TRUST : The Gender Trust offers information and support to Transsexual, Gender Dysphoric and Transgender People and is a registered charity established in 1990 and is unique in the areas of work it covers.

SUPPORT (internet)

MERMAIDS UK : Self-help support group for children and young people (21 and under) who have gender identity issues (which may be connected with transsexualism, transgenderism, intersexuality) or who are questioning their gender identity.

NO TRANSITION: This list aims to support those who are, or think they may be, TS (transsexual) but for whatever reason, are trying to cope with life without transitioning to live full-time in the opposite gender role. We will discuss our day-to-day problems and strategies for coping, and offer support to each other with our problems.

TRANSSEXUAL UK: This is a fast growing, light hearted group with a variety of discussion with like minded members who share ideas and information, support one another, debate issues and often use the group as a social outlet.

TRANSSEXUAL UK (HORMONES): An informative group in a about proper uses of female hormones. This list is designed for, and membership is limited to, persons who are undergoing, or will undergo, a course of female hormone replacement therapy and for post operative transsexual women seeking information about post-op hormone treatment.
