especially the ones taken in Sri Lanka, as my husband and I had our

orphanage.I find the images give an over all view of Sri Lanka culture
very well.

Comment: Thank you Jamie...your images are breathtaking...the thing
that strikes me the most about your images is your ability to bridge
the gap between cultures. I was drawn to your site especially because
I recently returned from traveling in Vietnam,Cambodia, & Thailand...when
I was traveling I felt as though the camera was a block between me and
interesting subjects...can you point me towards a text or give me some
tips as how to make people feel comfortable when I have my camera pointed
at them...

Comment: ...Are your shots of people you were personally interacting
with, or did you simple smile and ask to take the photo? maybe it is
just me,but I feel as though the camera makes people nervous, and/or
more formal... am I making any sense? Please help me if you have the
time... I am to leave for Chiapas, Mexico and Guatemala soon and plan
to make portraits a major focus on this trip...I appreciate your help
and especially your work...it's phenomenal. Thank you. Conk
