Selling your Work I. Contacts A. Getting Started Travel photography is just that – photographing the people and places one meets whilst on a journey. You can pursue it as far as you want to take it. Establishing your priorities will help determine the lengths that you will want to go to achieve your goals. If you simply want to improve your holiday snaps or make the most of a point and shoot camera then many of the points I discuss here will perhaps seems rather superfluous, but if you want to capture professional quality images of the world, then hopefully this introduction to the field will put you in good stead to achieving them. For the majority reading this, I expect that the travel experience comes foremost, and that the desire to produce a record of your trip comes second. For those of you that see the travel as the means to an end, such as a career in travel photography, I suggest that you seriously weigh up the pros and cons before committing yourself. Even if you have a passion for both travel and photography, think twice before putting both passions on the line and forsaking them for financial reward as you will likely be disappointed, impoverished or both.   more tips ...
