1 Lb.fresh asparagus, cut diagionally
2 carrots, skinned and cut diagonally, into thin slices
1 md.onion, shredded
1 c.fresh mushrooms, cut into halves
1/2 lb.beef flank steak, sliced thinly
1 tbs.tapioca starch
pn.of pepper
1-1/2 tbs.light soy sauce
few drops sesame oil
2 cloves garlic, crushed and skinned
2 stalks green onions, cut into 2 in.lengths

Marinate beef with soy sauce, pepper, sesame oil, starch, in a small bowl.

In a hot wok, add 3 tablespoons of oil. When smoke begins to rise, put in all the vegetables, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 cup of water and cover with a lid to cook for 3 minutes.

When done, remove to a plate.

Heat up the wok again, pour in 2 tablespoons of oil.

When it gets hot, put in garlic and green onions. Stir for 1 minute, then add beef to stir fry until color of meat changed.

Return vegetables, mix well and serve hot.
