Makes 18
100g (4oz) Margarine
75g (3oz) soft light brown sugar
2x15ml spoon (2tbsp) Syrup
175g (6oz) Self raising flour
100g (4oz) Chocolate chips
2x15m spoons (2tbsp) Milk
(1) Heat oven to 180C, 350F, Gas mark 4. Grease two baking trays.
(2) Beat the margarine until soft, add the sugar and cream together until light and fluffy.
(3) Stir in the syrup, flour, chocolate chips and milk and mix well.
(4) Place spoonfuls of the mixture onto trays and bake for8-10 minutes. Remove from the tray immediately and place on wire racks to cool.
