Serves 6
675g (1.5 lb) cooking apples, peeled and cored.
50g (2 oz) sugar.
basic sandwich mixture.
(1) Heat oven to 180C, 350F, gas mark 4. Grease an ovenproof dish.
(2) Thinly slice apples and layer in dish with sugar.
(3) Prepare cake mixture and use to cover the apples. Bake for about 40 minutes.
