Makes 36
225g (8oz) Self Raising Flour
Pinch Salt
1x5ml spoon (1tspn) ground ginger
100g (4oz) Caster Sugar
75g (3oz) Margarine
100g (4oz) Golden Syrup
1 Egg, size 3, beaten.
(1) Heat oven to 180C, 350F, Gas mark 4 and grease some baking trays.
(2) Mix together the dry ingredients.
(3) Warm the margarine and syrup, add the dry ingredients with the beaten egg, mix well.
(4) Place teaspoons of the mixture onto the baking trays and bake for about 15 minutes.
(5) Remove from baking trays and cool on a wire rack.
