Makes 12
450g (1lb) Floury Potatoes, peeled
and cooked
!x2.5ml spoon (1/2tsp) Salt
50g (2oz) butter
100g (4oz) Self raising flour.
(1) Mash Potatoes, add salt and butter
and flour to give a stiff mixture.
(2) Turn out onto a floured surface. Knead
lightly and roll to a thickness of 1cm
(1/2 inch.)
(3) Cut into triangles and cook on a hot,
greased griddle for 4 to 5 minutes
on each side
(4) Serve hot..
Baking with a Griddle
A baking griddle should be well greased
and then heated until a little water sprinkled
on the surface, skips in balls, evaporating.
A frying pan makes a good substitute.
