| Basic Recipe
100g (4oz)Plain flour
Pinch salt
1 Egg size 3
300ml (1/2 pint) Milk or milk and water
(1) Mix flour and salt in a basin, make a hollow in the center and drop in the egg.
(2) Stir with a wooden spoon and add liquid gradually, until the flour is worked in.
(3) Beat well and add the remaining liquid.
The consistancy should be like single cream
