Andrew Gavin Thomas, the one and only, presented himself to the world on 26th October 1975 in Liverpool, but has actually lived in North Wales his whole life. He went to Lyndon and Rydal Schools in that area, doing pretty damn well examinations wise. During those formative years he read Nicholas Fisk's Starstormers, watched Space 1999, Star Wars, Star Fleet and listened to Michael Jackson. As time went on he moved on to Isaac Asimov, 2000AD, Star Trek, Babylon 5, Aliens, Garbage. He also moved up North, North East to be precise, Durham to be absolutely spot on, where he studied the law of the UK at the fine academic establishment known as the University of Durham, based within the alarmingly designed confines of one Trevelyan College. During his Durham years, he attended his first B5 convention, had his first SF story published by the SF club there, battled in Quasar arenas and got a very lucky 77% for a non law module involving computers. Graduating from Durham, with a 2:1 and becoming therefore Andrew Gavin Thomas LLB, he attended his second and possibly THE largest B5 convention ever before returning to the North East once more, to York, to continue his legal studies. There he worked part time with some great people of similar mind at Game, earning enough money in so doing to establish himself on the Net once more. Finally, his lease expired, AGT LLB returned home to begin his quest for the ever elusive and much sought after training contract. It was there that he rejoined the UK Babylon 5 newsgroup, discovered "Planeteer Resurrection", and the rest, as you may have guessed, is history. Or perhaps future? |
