"The bible states that the world was created in 6 days and is some 6 to 7 thousand years old, science says it took a lot longer and is around 4½ billion years of age." (EVO-STORM-01: Introduction)
Which science is that? Slanted Science with a Purpose? You state a theory as a fact and thus attempt to discredit creationism through lies!
"Many radical Christian groups take every word of the bible literally, that is to say that they believe the bible to be the divinely inspired word of God ... the absolute and incontestable TRUTH. Atheists and many scientists, however, claim that the bible is a book written by humans with no divine involvement. Fortunately, however, many well-educated Christians continue to believe that the bible should not be taken literally and that God and evolution can co-exist" (EVO-STORM-01: Introduction)
I do take the Bible as the literal word of God, however I must say IF evolution existed it was THROUGH God. I mean, where did evolution come from anyways???
"Nevertheless there exists a "hard-line" group of Christian "cults" that not only believe that the world and mankind was divinely created but seem determined that the rest of the world should believe it too. Science, typically uncaring of the existence of such beliefs and their associated deities, continues to strive forward in search of the truth." (EVO-STORM-01: Introduction)
You are just so wonderful, destroy religion, ethics, and the very foundation for your belief system and call it pressing forward.
"Hubble (1924) demonstrated that the galaxy M31 was separate from our own and very distant. He further noted, as many astronomers had previously, that galaxies in general were moving away from us and the light we received from them was "redshifted". If they were moving away then at some point in the distant past they must have been closer." (EVO-STORM-01: The Age of the Universe)
No they didn't have to be closer. Any entity can turn around Stormtrooper, you should know that ever action has an oposite and negative reaction!
"According to modern cosmological theory (based on Einstein's Theory of General Relativity) at the time of the Big Bang space did not exist or rather the big bang occupied the whole of space. Distant galaxies are not moving at high-speed through space but move slowly relative to their neighbouring counterparts and as space expands the wavelength of light lengthens (commonly referred to as "redshift"). Space is infinitely elastic and does not expand into anything." (EVO-STORM-01: The Age of the Universe)
Well frankly where did they galaxies come from? Let's look beyond the evolution of life for a minute, where did physical and chemical existance evolve from?
"That the "big bang" actually occurred is supported by observable phenomena" (EVO-STORM-01: The Age of the Universe)
Just as therodynamics which contradicts big bang?
"Homo sapiens has only been resident for some 50,000 years so we were, unfortunately, unable to witness the birth of our planet" (EVO-STORM-01: The Age of the Earth)
I do wish you would stop quoting theories as facts, especially when the oldest documentation in the world only dates back to 8,000 years.
"These methods all tend to agree that the Earth is between 3.8 and 5 billion years old." (EVO-STORM-01: The Age of the Earth)
And all are extremely inaccurate unless the earth really is that old. For example, if Earth is only 6000 years old, these methods would still all agree it was much older than that. It's a slanted one sided method!
"At some point in the distant past the first living cells formed ... exactly when, and by what mechanism, is as yet unknown" (EVO-STORM-01: Life on Earth; The Origin Of Life)
So then it's not scientific method, can not be reproduced if you don't know how it happened!
"The spontaneous formation of ribose. The probability for this to have occurred is good. The spontaneous formation of nucleotide bases. The probability for this to have occurred is good. The assembly of ribose and bases into nucleosides (probability of this occurring is low). The activation of these nucleosides into nucleotides. The probability for this to have occurred is good." (EVO-STORM-01: Life on Earth; The Origin Of Life)
Look at the third one there. If the probability of THAT happening is low, how is the probability of step four happening high? It should be lower as it probably didn't get to that stage.
"Whilst there can be no doubt that the above has problems and is largely speculative, that life spontaneously formed is beyond doubt ... it is only the precise mechanisms that remain to be elucidated." (EVO-STORM-01: Life on Earth; The Origin Of Life)
Uh, stating theory as fact. It is greatly doubted that spontaneous evolution occured among many scientists.
"Once life had originated in the primeval oceans (the pre-biotic soup) it began to evolve. Evolution is defined as a change in the gene pool of a population over time. It is now classified into two distinct types micro-evolution (the finer changes noted by scientists) and macro (speciation). The theory of Evolution was first fully embodied by Charles Darwin in 1859." (EVO-STORM-01: Life on Earth; The Evolution Of Life)
Darwin's theory has been utterly destroyed already by Michael Fondlan of the University of Florida who happens to be an evolutionist. You should write the UF and request his paper entitled "Darwinism and evolutionism, the differance".
"Examination of the fossil record has established extensive and comprehensive evidence for organic evolution. " (EVO-STORM-01: Life on Earth; The Evolution Of Life)
No, organic species always come from seed. They don't evolve or something, they come from seed.
Next problem is with your moth scenario. Frankly it doesn't prove bull crap. The moth is a moth still before and after it's wings developed genetically to ADAPT to the surrounding chemicals. That's all it did was adapt...not evolve.
"The known universe is around 13 billion years old The world is at least 4½ billion years old Life appeared on Earth some 3½ billion years ago Evolution has been demonstrated to occur at both the micro and macro evolution levels. Mankind in its current form (Homo Sapiens) has existed for at least 50,000 years (less than 150,000) Mankind shares common ancestors not only with apes but also (with the possible exception of some bacterial forms) with every other life form on this planet. There is no proof that the bible was written, either directly or by proxy, by anything other than ordinary men & women. There is no verifiable evidence to support the claim that the gods of any religion have ever existed in this universe. " (EVO-STORM-01: Conclusion)
If these are the points you are trying to make I pity you. ANYONE can read through that and find it's only a bunch of theory stated as fact. Not grounded evidence, statements. And I will defend the Bible in my next post tomorrow.
