Named after the X99 called Maximum, in memory of Peter Smith, who was a member of both Upnor SC and Medway YC.
A six race series jointly sponsored by the three clubs, USC, MYC and MCC, with two races organised by each club using their own start and finish lines.

* Portsmouth Yardstick numbers can be found on the RYA Website (search for - yardstick) if your vessel is not listed the Race Captain will issue you with a provisional handicap number.
Racing at USC is a pleasant means of honing one's sailing skills in a spirit of friendly rivalry. Many skippers are keen to recruit new crew members and a great deal can be learned by sailing with an experienced racing skipper. Either contact them directly or place an advertisement on the Crewing page or in the Mainsheet.
The Race Captain will always be glad to answer any queries about the various aspects of this important element of Club activities.
Medway Yacht Club have also issued an open invitation to Upnor Sailing Club members to participate in their racing events.
