Here are the House Bylaws & Regulations.
In accordance with Rule 14(b) the General Committee have made the following bylaws for the proper management and good order of the Club House. These bylaws are binding on all club members.
1. KEYS
A. Members may obtain a key to the Club House for their private use from the Hon. Secretary upon deposit of a small sum to cover its cost.
B. Any member resigning the Club must return his key to the Hon. Secretary or a member of the General Committee.
C. The General Committee reserve the right to call upon any member to return his key should his conduct in their opinion be injurious to the interests of the Club.
D. The last member to leave the Club premises on any day shall lock and secure all property. Please note that the front door to the Club House must be "double locked". Unless this is done the property is NOT secure.
2. CLUB PROPERTY
A. No member shall under any pretext whatever remove from the Club premises any article which is the property of the Club, or for which the Club is responsible, without prior permission from the Committee. In the event of such permission having been given, the member shall return such article immediately on being requested to do so.
B. Any member destroying or damaging any article or property of the Club, or for which the Club is responsible, shall on assessment pay the cost of repairing or replacing same.
3. MEMBERS' PROPERTY
A. Members must not place or leave in the Club House, except in any store or rack which may be provided, any gear or private property. Gear must be neatly stowed and suitably labelled.
B. The Club cannot hold itself responsible for any damage to or loss of any article deposited on the Club premises.
C. No motor vehicle shall be left on Club property other than in the Car Park provided or shall be parked in a manner wasteful of the limited parking space available. Parking space may be reserved from time to time for those members on extended cruises.
D. No dogs shall be allowed in the Club House, and dogs on other parts of the Club premises shall be kept under proper control.
4. VISITORS
A. Members shall have the privilege of introducing visitors to the Club, except on the occasion of Special or General Meetings. The General Committee reserves the right to invite a professional advisor on the occasion of a Special or General Meeting where the General Committee feels the attendance of such a professional would be to the benefit of the Club.
B. A member introducing a visitor shall on entering the Club premises insert the visitor's name and address in the Visitors Book and sign the entry.
C. Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests. No member may introduce any person who has been refused membership or who had resigned at the request of the General Committee or has not paid arrears due to the Club.
D. Non members shall not visit the Club premises more than six times in any one year and it is expected that relatives and friends of members who regularly use the Club premises as visitors will apply for membership.
E. A member of any Club recognised by the RYA or bona fide visiting yachtsman may be authorised to use the Club premises on a temporary basis by any member of the General Committee.
5. INTOXICATING LIQUOR
A. A member or guest under the age of 18 years may not be sold, supplied or obtain intoxicating liquor within the Club premises.
B. The permitted hours for the consumption of intoxicating liquor shall be fixed by the General Committee from time to time in accordance with Rule 13.
6. CHILDREN
A. Members are requested to note that there are areas of danger to children such as the balcony and galley and supervision of children on the Club premises shall be the parents' responsibility at all times.
B. Parents may not allow children within 6 feet of the bar in the Club room.
