Upnor Sailing Club

Upnor Sailing Club was founded over 40 years ago and provides attractive facilities for amateur yachtsmen and women and their crews, on the tidal river Medway.

Clubhouse

A Clubhouse was established at Lower Upnor some 25 years ago by the refurbishment of three traditional waterfront cottages. This was achieved through the devoted efforts of the members, and the Club now owns a property with superb views of the Medway, along with enclosed car parking space.

The Club has a strong tradition of self-help and all members are expected to contribute their time and skill in helping to maintain the fabric of the Clubhouse, all-tide landing and moorings, including security patrols, helping behind the bar etc. Such activities are generally enjoyable and contribute towards making the Club a friendly, co-operative and close knit community.

The Club is affiliated to the Royal Yachting Association and a member of the Medway Yachting Association.

The Club does not cater for motor cruisers or sailing dinghies.
