THE
LONDON TO PARIS ROWING RACE - 2 May 2008
On
Friday 2 May at 1100 two Waterman's Cutters will depart from
just upstream of Westminster Bridge and proceed downriver to
the Outer Port Limits. They will be escorted by three safety
craft throughout - SEA SATIN, GALLIANT and HEBE.
All
vessels are to ensure that on encountering this flotilla due
regard shall be had to their own vessels wash characteristics.
Further
details will be broadcast by London VTS on VHF Channel's 14,
68 and 69.

LED buoy lights in the Swale
On
or about 23rd February, 2008.
Further
to the trial of synchronised LED buoy lights in the Swale as
advertised in Trinity House Notice to Mariners 63/07 dated 17th
December, 2007, in this phase of the trial Trinity House and
Medway Ports are to alter the light characters of the buoys.
The
buoy lights are to flash 5 seconds in synchronised port and
starboard lateral pairs, and sequentially from seaward inwards,
as follows:
Columbine
& Whitstable Street
Swale 1 & Swale 2
Columbine Spit & Swale 4
Swale 5 & Swale 6
Ham Gat & Pollard Spit
Swale 7 & Swale 8
Sand End & S. Oaze

Synchronised
LED buoy lights in the Swale
On
or about 24th January, 2008.
Trinity
House and Medway Ports are to extend the trial of synchronised
LED buoy lights in the Swale. In addition to the 3 Trinity House
stations and the 2 Medway Ports Authority stations currently
forming part of the existing trial, the Whitstable Street lighted
buoy and Pollard Spit are now to be included and 8 new buoy stations
are to be deployed. In this phase of the trial the lights on
all these buoys will be synchronised to flash together.
