Fuse Medway Festival 2009

The Neo Futurist Collective will be leading a celebration of Upnor, for the people who live here. Throughout May and June there will be a series of free workshops for all the people of Upnor in ceremony, craft-making skills, story telling, sound recording and performance. The focus for the workshops will be the making of a new Upnor "Parish Map" to act as a performance score for a Grand Parade and Ceremony on the streets of Upnor on:

Sunday, 14 June as part of the Fuse Medway Festival 2009

www.fusefestival.org.uk

The parish map will be made up from local residents' impressions of Upnor and from their stories, memories, and favourite places "What is special about Upnor, your favourite spot, what do you like, what do you value, what would you change?"

For further details about the project please see www.neofuturist.org and http://neofuturist.blogspot.com or contact Päivi Seppälä, project coordinator on 07788 413664 or email: paivi@poppana.com.
