A. Most have more than 6ft of water at all times, some may have only 2 or 3ft at low water springs, a few dry out, the bottom is deep, soft mud.
Q. What are Upnor Sailing Club moorings?
A. All Upnor Sailing Club moorings are 'fore-and-aft' trots. Each mooring has one vessel moored between two buoys.
Q. What is the optimum length mooring for a boat?
A. Suitable mooring lengths for sailing vessels:
35ft mooring = boat under 24ft overall
40ft mooring = boat under 28ft overall
45ft mooring = boat under 32ft overall
50ft mooring = boat under 36ft overall
55ft mooring = boat under 40ft overall
Q. How much does it cost?
A. Members pay annually on average:
£110.00 - mooring maintenance charge
£65.00 - Medway Ports / Crown Estates mooring licence charge
£20.00 - causeway maintenance charge
£10.00 - dinghy park space
£46.05 - Medway Ports conservancy charge (inc. VAT)
Q. Are there any visitor's moorings?
A. Moorings can be made available to visitors.
