RYA First Aid at Sea Course - Friday 9th February and Friday 16th February 2007
Mike Prescott, Cruise Captain, has volunteered to run a course on first aid at sea for Club members. The course is validated by St. John, St. Andrew's and the Red Cross.
The course is 'attendance only' with no examination at the end of it.
However, to get the certificate you will need to buy, and bring with you, a copy of 'The Authorised Version of First Aid - from St. John Ambulance, St. Andrew's Ambulance Association and British Red Cross' - this costs £12.99 and is available from Waterstones and W H Smith, they usually only keep one copy on the shelf so you may have to order a copy.
Of course, if you want to attend the course but not get a certificate, that's fine.
Mike is running the course on Friday 9th February and Friday 16th February - you will need to attend both evenings as it is a six hour course.
The course starts at 7.30 pm prompt.
