BOREHOLE OPERATIONS -
LONDON ARRAY WIND FARM

The jack up rig 'Excalibur' call sign YJXQ5 will be undertaking borehole & cone penetration test work within London Array site in the Knock Deep & Long Sand areas.

The work is expected to commence during the first week of October and continue until the end of the year.

The Excalibur will display in accordance with international collision regulation rule 27 (b) restricted in ability to manoeuvre signal lights & shapes. The Excalibur will maintain a listening watch on port channel VHF 69.

All vessels are to proceed with caution at reduced speed giving the rig a wide berth.

Work will be undertaken in three batches.

Gunfleet Sands 1 & 2 Offshore Wind Farm Borehole Operations

Mariners are advised of the following offshore operation within the Gunfleet Sands 1 & 2 offshore wind farm area & export cable route.

Approx start date: 24th May 2007

Approx end date: 21st June 2007 (excluding weather days)

Borehole operations are to be carried out by Jack up vessels Vagant & Tijl II within the following coordinates:

KENTISH FLATS
OFFSHORE WIND FARM

Notice to Mariners L14 of 2005 established an exclusion zone around each wind turbine of the Kentish Flats Offshore Wind Farm for the duration of the construction phase. The Kentish Flats Offshore Wind Farm is now operational and the exclusion zones are no longer in force.

In order to preserve the safety of mariners and the electrical connection to the installations, NO VESSEL IS TO APPROACH WITHIN 50 METRES OF ANY TURBINE TOWER.

KENTISH FLATS
WIND FARM CONSTRUCTION WORKS

Commencing on or soon after16th May 2005, construction works will commence to install the turbines on the Kentish Flats Offshore Wind Farm within an area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84):

South-west corner

51° 26.82N 001° 04.85E

South-east corner

51° 27.14N 001° 08.04E

North-west corner

51° 28.11N 001° 03.23E

North-east corner

51° 28.43N 001° 06.42E

Turbine installation works will be carried out by the semi-jack-up ship 'SEA ENERGY' During the construction phase an exclusion zone of radius 500m will be established centred on the 'SEA ENERGY'. On completion of the installation of each turbine the exclusion zone round each pile will revert to a radius of 50m. Work is expected to take 4 months to complete.

'SEA ENERGY' will maintain a listening watch on VHF channel 69. Further information will be broadcast by London VTS as appropriate.

All vessels unconnected with the construction site should observe exclusion zones and navigate with extreme caution in the vicinity of the wind farm site.
