Group History

Originally when we started the game our GM asked us to create some background information for our characters. For anyone unfamiliar with system the brief is that serving within the Colonial Marines you are assigned to different units, using the tables you can advance to more specialist corps and gain more skills, this is offset that the survival factor gets lower. To make the GM's life easier he wanted some info so maybe he could use tie ins that were more relevant to the group.

In some ways I have regretted doing this because

• My imagination started to runaway with me, I suppose that writer that lies dormant most of your life has to rear it's ugly head once in a while, even if the creative genius turns out to be as literate as a mouse mat.
• The group liked the stories I was coming up with or were to damn lazy to do their own (I prefer the first theory), that most of the characters had served with me since boot camp.
• With my imagination running rampant and my ego in overdrive the stories of the groups history became more glamorous, fleshed out and daring. This proved to be good ammunition for the GM with personalities from the past becoming the present, future and past.

So as I gradually convert the stories and finish writing them I will publish more here for your enjoyment, criticism, reference, put next to your own to make your own look better or for demonstrations in schools on how to get an 'F'.
