Holly Angel

Special Agent Holly Angel
Drafted in along with Agent Carter to replace Agents Steele and McArthur. Fully qualified as a pathologist Agent Angel choose a career within the FBI instead of a more lucrative job in the private hospital sector. Her skills have been required more for patching up the team, but has more than proven her worth with forensic investigations as well.

Her first few weeks did not go to well within the team, she had to work closely with Agent Merrick, who was in charge on forensics. Everyone knew Merrick had a chip on his shoulder but it was Angel who was pushed to the limit first and put pen to paper with an official complaint regarding his attitude towards the team and his chauvanistitic attitude in particular towards her. The complaint was never actioned as soon after Merrick shot the hotelier in cold blood and went on the run. Agent Angel is now the Head of Forensics with Agent MacIntire as her assistant.

A very personal person and little is known of her previous history. Except that her first assignment within the FBI ended abruptly when her partner was murdered by the serial killer they where attempting to apprehend. He is still at large. Her assignment to the team was met with some apathy from certain members who felt that a female agent would not be upto the work required of her. Merrick no longer has to worry about that as now is is on the run for his part in the murder of the hotelier.

A socialite in high circles, she has attended parties at the White House with the first lady present and at the best Restaurants in D.C. Easy to approach and talk with, makes it easy for her to gain new contacts. She is aware that Agent Kim Lee has had ideas on her and she has been out on a dinner date with him, but he doesn't stand a chance after the comment he made to compliment her. Hi Holly, you scrub up well.

She has gained a protective mentor in the form of McWilliams, who would like to see more women do well with the FBI.

Yeah Right.

Notes from Special Agent Jason Knight
Comes across as a very ambitious agent who is struggling to be seen as a competent member of the agency. It is a great advantage that she has managed to land a position in a team that treats her no differently than they would any other agent. It is in this environment that Angel's skill will gain the respect they deserve and therefore blossom enough to be recognised by other departments in the agency.

Angel's early days with bureau were marred by tragedy and although she states otherwise it would be foolish to believe she has not been badly scared by these events.

I would not be at all surprised if Agent Angel was in charge of her own team within the year. Her almost clinically removed approach to the tragedy and violence around her will act as a great anchor point to any team that gets put into her charge. Her attention to details and agency rules although slowing most investigations will also see to standing her in great stead for future operations and promotion, if gender does not stand in her way.

All I can see agent Angel benefiting from at present, is a change in bureau attitudes towards female agents. An improved trust in her abilities backed up by a series of leadership courses to faith could see Angel grow into a very powerful voice in the bureau. Not to mention the political thrust it would give the powers her forward.

Angel's mental state is stable on the surface and possibly is underneath as well. However professional experience and intuition suggests that psychological assessment would perhaps dig up ghost best left wrapped in the confines of Angel's psyche. I do however recommend an occasional informal chat with a female psychologist twice a year
