SILVIO MARIC: IT WAS A JOKE!!

Newcastle's new £3.5million signing SILVIO MARIC has laughed off a two year old comment that insulted English women and English food. He said that it was a joke and that sort of stuff shouldn't be printed in a newspaper. He also said that if he didn't like England that much then why has he just joined Newcastle United??!!
Maric, a 24 year old midfielder, has joined Newcastle for £3.5million from CROATIA ZAGREB, but he is still waiting for his work permit which could take up until next week.



BARNES JOINS CHARLTON ON A FREE

John Barnes has joined struggling Charlton on a free transfer. He bears no grudges against Newcastle manager RUUD GUILLIT who has left him out of the Newcastle squad since becoming the Newcastle manager.
Barnes said that he was the top scorer last season and he is fit now but he is not part of the managers plans. He also said that he understands because if he ever became a manager he would have to make decisions like that.



KETSBAIA: I WANT TO STAY.

TEMURI KETSBAIA has said that he would like to stay on Tyneside. He said that he would love to stay here for 10 years but it may cause a problem as he has not played the 75% of games that he needs to, to keep his work permit.
Manager RUUD GUILLIT has also said that he would like Ketsbaia to stay. He added " He has been injured so I couldn't play him as often as I would have liked to but I don't think it would cause too much of a problem".



NEWCASTLE QUALIFY FOR UEFA CUP!!!

Newcastle United are almost guaranteed a place in next seasons UEFA cup. I'm still unsure about how this will happen! Anyway UEFA have said that one place will be given from the F.A cup. This means that Tottenham who have already qualified through winning the Worthington cup are unable to have it and Manchester United and Arsenal look set to finish inside the top three. So Newcastle will get a place in europe even if the unthinkable happens and they are beaten by Tottenham. Anyway hopefully Newcastles' name is on the cup this year!!!



NEWCASTLE ARE ON THE WAY TO WEMBLEY!!!!

Newcastle United are on their way to WEMBLEY thanks to two ALAN SHEARER goals in the second half of extra time. Newcastle will now face either Man utd or Arsenal in the final on the 22nd of May!! Shearer struck twice one a penalty and the other from the edge of the 18yard box which beat Ian Walker hit the underside of the crossbar and we went 2-0 up!!! Lets just hope that come May Newcastles name will be on the F.A cup!!!!!!



SHEARER SIGNS FOR LIFE!!!!

ALAN SHEARER has ended speculation that he is unhappy at NEWCASTLE by saying that he wants to stay for the rest of his career. SHEARER said that he has always been happy at NEWCASTLE and it was the rumourmongers saying he wasn't. He also said that he has had three brilliant seasons with NEWCASTLE and he has being pleased with his form this season......well who could argue with that???????
SHEARER also scored his 150th league goal on Saturday which no other player has managed to do!!!
