NEWCASTLE UNITED

- SHAY GIVEN - Brought from Blackburn Rovers by former Newcastle manager Kenny Dalglish. Since his move from Blackburn Shay has been recognised by many clubs for his excellent skills in between the posts.
- WARREN BARTON - Played like I have never seen him play before at the Newcastle v Crystal Palace game ( F. A cup 3rd round). He deserved to be Man of the Match and is definitely a player Ruud Guillit should keep hold of!!
- STUART PEARCE - Brought from Nottingham Forest after serving them for 12 years. His experience is crucial at the back but he also has a wicked left foot.
- DIDIER DOMI - Brought from a French club ( unsure of which one) and played brilliantly down the left hand side against Bradford City and was the Man of the Match.

- STEVE HOWEY - He plays well at the back and also has an eye for goal!

- ROBERT LEE -
Unfortunatley Rob is out of action with an achilles injury. When he is fit and in the team he plays an important part in Newcastle's team. He passes the ball well and has a good eye for goal.

- ALAN SHEARER -
Brought from Blackburn Rovers by former Newcastle manager King Kev for £15 million, Shearer (my favourite) has done extremely well since his move. He has scored in all the games I have been to see him play in - 5 altoghether but only 4 with Shearer playing!! Newcastle were interested in Shearer when he played for Southhampton but Shearer never knew. He went on from there to have a brilliant spell with Blackburn before coming to Newcastle in the summer of 1996.

- GARY SPEED - Brought from Leeds United Gary has had a good spell with Newcastle so far. He scored a cracker against Crystal Palace on the 2nd of January and so far has proved a good buy for Newcastle!!

- DIETMAR HAMANN - He has so far proved to be a good buy for Newcastle but I think instead of shouting his mouth off , off the field he should really show us what he can do on the field.

- STEVE HARPER -He has proved to be a great replacement for SHAY GIVEN when he is unavailable. He played excellently for Necastle in between the posts against Middlesbrough earlier in the season and really deserves to wear the Newcastle jersey!!

- TEMURI KETSBAIA - His excellent contribution to the Newcastle team since his moved has proved to be important. His partnership with ALAN SHEARER has so far proved to be a good one. In my books him and SHEARER up front are lethal!!!!

- GEORGE GEORGIADIS - Many people say he was born to play for Newcastle. Hmm could that be coz of his name??!!

- LAURENT CHARVET - He is excellent at the back and his stunning goal against Middlesbrough, well what can I say apart from absolutley great!!!

- STEPHEN GLASS - His contribution to the 2 - 1 demolition of Aston Villa was the best I've seen him play. His crosses were inch perfect and that showed with the first goal!!

- DUNCAN FERGUSON - Hasn't really played yet apart from the first couple of games since moving due to a groin injury. He scored two goals for Newcastle on his debut and everyone thought he was on a roll until his unfortunate injury. Unfortunate for us but fortunate for the other premiership club's defence as him and SHEARER could prove to be too hot to handle!!

- CARL SERRANT - Rarely get to see him play but he wouldn't be at Newcastle if he wasn't any good now would he??!!??!!

- DES HAMILTON - Has proved a good buy for Newcastle so far and if he manages to hold down a regular place he could be quite influential!!

- NOLBERTO SOLANO - Solano has proved to be a good buy as he showed with three goals already this season which all happened to be great goals!!

- PAUL DALGLISH - Paul has already showed that he is following in his father's footsteps and that he can be as good as his dad when it comes to playing football. He has linked up well with SHEARER and hopefully we will see more of him as the season progresses!

- AARON HUGHES - He does play well when he is actually in the side but he is a player that we rarely see a lot of.

- GARRY BRADY - He played well at the last match I went to see which was Newcastle v. Bradford City in the F.A cup. He could be a valuble player to the Newcastle side!!

- NIKOLAOS DABIZAS - He plays well at the back and also has a good eye for goal. his goal against Middlesbrough was something else!! He should be careful about the amount of red he has already seen this season!!!

- ANDREAS ANDERSSON - He has played well up front with SHEARER and hopefully this partnership (along with the others) can carry on!!!
