ALAN SHEARER

Alan Shearer has been destined to become one of the most feared strikers ever since 9th April 1988 when he scored a hat trick in his first start for Southampton against Arsenal.
By February 1991 he was partnering Gary Lineker in the England team, making a goalscoring debut aginst France. All this and his determination convinced Blackburn Rovers to pay a Brtish record transfer fee of £3.3million in July. By December 1995 ALAN SHEARER made history by becoming the first player to score 100 Premiership goals in England. With all this Alan Shearer became the most feared striker from a defenders point of view. His ability in the air was suprising, while his upper body strength let him hold off defenders with ease.
After Alan's success in Euro '96, King Kev payed a whopping £15 million to bring him to NEWCASTLE and since his arrival we have seen him smash in over 50 goals for Newcastle, not including the two he scored against Tottenham to take us to the F.A cup final for two years in a row!!!
