O D SLOPE at the UNICORN

1986 was the first time the Unicorn Folk Club booked the brilliant local ‘bluesman’ O D Slope and he has returned to entertain us with his gravelly voice and authentic bottle-neck guitar style most years since then.  He is one of the few guests who has played in all the Unicorn Folk Club venues over the past 20 or so years – The Red Lion at Great Chatwell, The Plough at Weston Heath, The Bell at Tong, The Lion at Edgmond and now the Bradford Arms on Friday 18^th January 2008. However, three years ago he had to miss out as he was in hospital having a heart by-pass operation.  He says ‘ a big thank you to all those dedicated and wonderful people who work for, in and around the NHS, for their expertise and support that has given me a second chance to follow my love of performing  music’.
