You've really got my memory doing overtime now!
Is the primary school still there?

The view of Stockbridge hasn't really changed, other than the school disappearing, and the memories of playing on those school fields comes flooding back.
I can remember when from Pye Lane to Fairclough road was all fields with a pond that we all used to play on, before Cantril Farm was built. And going down the banks of the Alt to do jumps over the banks, and falling in and getting a hiding off me mam!
Also when I was in Stockbridge Primary I remember watching the houses and shops on the same side of the Primary in Hillside being built! makes me feel old.
My brother, who lives in Prescot now, went to Woolfall School in 1957, which I think was about a year after it opened.
