DROP-IN CENTRE

WHISC provides a central 'drop-in' base at 120 Bold Street, L1, and also at Speke anti-natal clinic. Both are staffed by volunteers, like ourselves, who offer health related information and also a ' listening ear'.

The drop-in at Bold Street is open

Tuesday to Thursday from 10am - 3pm,

anyone can come in for any information or just for the opportunity to talk to one of our volunteers in a completely relaxed informal atmosphere.

Everything you say or any information you ask for is in complete confidence and will go no further than you and the volunteer.

With the aid of the grant from the National lottery Charities board we intend to liaise with community organisations, recruiting and training volunteers within the community to set up drop-ins in host premises.

Initially this will be aimed at women in the Toxteth/Dingle area, but if this is successful and there proves to be a demand we hope to extend this initiative to other areas of the city if funding can be found.
