Arnold and Nellie embarked on the ship in Hamburg, Germany, after travelling from Switzerland by train. They married in their 50s and hail from the German speaking part of Switzerland. Nelly speaks very good english, Arnold a little less so. Before Arnold retired he worked as an "all rounder" in a factory manufacturing metal containers - the templates were made by British Steel and sent to Switzerland by lorry. He's an avid marksman belonging to a club in his home town and he also hunts wild boar, deer, fox, ducks and rabbit in Switzerland and Hungary. Arnold owns numerous rifles and pistols although his prize possesion is a .357 magnum. Before Nellie retired she had a good job as a secretary in a re-insurance firm based in Zurich, her department dealt mainly with the Arab speaking countries. Nellie lived with her parents until they passed away. They enjoy travelling and have recently been to Namimbia which they both enjoyed very much.
