Marco Middelkoop joined the ship in Rio de Janeiro and was a much welcome distraction from the day-to-day goings on. Marco is a Marine Service Engineer for Marine Engines and Turbochargers working for the dutch company ABB out of Rotterdam. Basically he gets flown around the world to work on the marine engines which can be for ships or oil rigs etc. Marco, who bears an uncanny likeness to Carl Foggarty, owns an old Jaguar - his pride and joy which he is currently repairing. His other passion is motorbikes, owning and racing (at his local racing circuit) a Honda CBR600, he also a mechanic for the Reversal Racing team currently competing in the dutch championships.
