We first met in the city of Dubrovnik, Croatia in September 1998 whilst we were holidaying and P&J were about a third of the way through there round the world trip. Striking up a quick friendship during our three days in Dubrovnik, their world trip was one of the main inspirations for our own journey and we followed their progress on their web site which gave us the idea of creating our own site.

Bear @ home

Smithsonian museums and Capitol, the Takoma Park Folk Festival, stuffing our faces in a downtown tapas bar, to relaxing on their porch, walking their Alsatian: Bear and gardening. When we arrived we felt apprehensive and didn't want to impose, PnJ made us feel at ease and at home, when we came to leave, our batteries recharged, it was hard to say goodbye. |
