When we woke the ship was already anchored in a bay just outside the port of Itajai, Brazil, where we will remain until tomorrow. We are tantlisingly close to land, you could swim to shore from the ship and we can see people walking along the beaches, surfing and riding jet-skis. Spent the day doing the usual and also chatting with Marco who is still with us. Claire and I are trying to decide how we will spend our 10 or so days in Argentina, this is driving us nuts as we're really keen to get off the ship and get on with our journey.
In the evening the crew set up a long table outside on the deck and we had another party eating pasta and barbecued meat listenig to a local Brazilian radio station. After eating we watched the crew play table-football, Marco and Will were invitied to play a couple of the crew and even this Dutch-English alliance wasn't strong enough to overcome the Italians. After a few games we went to the mess and watched a couple of episodes of Black Adder (1st series) - felt good to see some British telly for a change.
