We woke very late and feeling 100% better than yesterday morning and spent our time writing our journals, catching up on events via CNN and watching Liverpool cruise to a 0-0 draw at home to Southampton - the family have cable TV. Then a light "desayuno" (breakfast) before walking round the block to the club. All the supervisors at the copper mine / smelter live in this area and have free membership to the club, which has restaurant, pool, tennis courts, indoor 5-a-side soccer pitch and a gym. We ate a lovely 3 course dinner with Carlos and Nancy with Christobal and Gaston popping in and out. Christoval was playing in a tennis tournament - from which he had banned his parents spectating, and Gaston was watching an ATP tennis final in Miami between 2 Chilean tennis players.
After lunch we walked through the clubs grounds via the tennis court - Christobal was no longer playing and on to the indoor football where Christobal and Gaston were on opposing teams. We stayed and watched for a while whilst Carlos and Nancy indulged in some good humoured barricking of their son's performances before walking back to the house. In the evening Alicia appeared and we dissected the previous evening's events and composed a thank you note with Alicia's help. We sat around the table chatting and drinking beer with Carlos, Nancy and Gaston until after midnight.
