Leaving Cary and Nilo's casa in the late morning we caught a taxi to the airport, as a tourist, leaving Cuba is a lot easier than entering it and we were through the security checks quickly. The flight to Mexico City took a couple of hours - flying and airports now seem as simple as catching a bus, in the past we were always anxious about our tickets (what if its wrong?), our bags (where are they?) etc, now that anxiety has totally gone - although its still exciting taking off and landing. By 5pm we had checked into the Hotel Edison - the same hotel we stayed in on our previous visit and checked our emails. We were pleased to find we had quite a few including one from the Mexican company I'd left my camera with whilst travelling for the last month - it hasn't been repaired. So I telephoned them and we agreed that they would email me when the camera has been repaired so that I can let them know where to send it to in the US - somehow I don't think I'll see my camera again. After reading our email we walked a couple of blocks to a nearby Taco restaurant, after Cuba it was good to see street stalls and shops packed with goodies and locals eating in restaurants. As usual we over ate - we've decided that tacos are alot like curry, your eyes are bigger than your belly, and then waddled back to our hotel to reply to a few emails.
