Probably the worst day of the week to start investigating buying a vehicle in Phoenix - or anywhere - we didn't get far with insurance agencies or dealers by phone...

At 7.30 the phone woke us from our slumber, Claire's Mum called us from the UK and we had a good long chat to start the day off very nicely...

Woke to the telephone ringing at 6.30am - it was Philip, Claire's brother, he'd got his time differences slightly wrong and so rang us back a couple of hours later when we were more sociable...

The car was insured and the balance for the car was paid off this morning - its all ours and we can legally drive it...

After a later start - glued to American chat shows on morning TV - we picked up our car and nervously drove it back to our motel...

In anticipation of setting off tomorrow we had to buy all our camping gear today...
