Conference98
By the time you receive a copy of this Newsletter, a small group of us will be packing our cases to go to New York. Our first transatlantic conference! Our USA colleagues have told us that only 8 UK members will be joining them in USA. In the past three years, only a small number of UK members have gone to the Conferences. Although we publicise these events, we know that the market and businesses are not at their peak. Could it be that some of you are facing the fact that your Company is not very keen to sponsor you to go? Perhaps we could discuss this at our next AGM. We believe that after we come back from New York, we ought to have an open evening where we could meet and perhaps ask our members to bring someone from their companies to the meeting so they can meet other members and judge for themselves the opportunities we have in networking, training and business acquaintances. We would like to hear your suggestions on the subject. Conference'99Crèche for London Conference 1999WISTA-UK member Debra Andreassen, has been investigating the possibility of providing creche facilities and evening baby-sitting for any WISTA members who would like to (or need to) bring along their children to the next conference in London and Southampton next year. The idea is to provide children of all ages with organized activities overseen by qualified staff during the day, and to also organize supervision in the evenings when events are scheduled. Obviously it is important in arranging this, to have some idea of numbers of children and their ages. If anyone is interested in this idea please contact Debra Andreassen via e-mail address to: noraus@btinternet.com Or by fax to +44 181 715 7160 Can you unscramble these names of parts of a ship?
