Tree Surveys and Inspections

Trees may need to be surveyed or inspected for a number of reasons, the most frequent of which are:

• Routine management of trees
• Tree mangement programmes for property managers
• Hazard Tree Evaluation
• Retention of trees on development sites
• Trees which are protected by Tree Preservation Orders
  or which are within Conservation Areas
• Mortgage / Insurance matters
• Tree related building subsidence
• Evidence for legal cases

Depending on the age, condition, number of trees and the nature and the proposed usage of the area, different approaches will be required. Also the amount of time and detail of the inspection required may vary, from a short period of time in the case of young trees to a longer more detailed approach for mature specimens in more sensitive situations.
