 This is
where you will spend some considerable time. First you
need to register with the Police. Be sure to take colour
passport size pictures of yourself and ALL members of
your family. It don't matter that the baby is only 2
months old they want a photo. Unless you have the resultant
ID immigration cards you get no further.
Next you take these to the Folk Register and fill in another pile of paper and they issue you with your personal ID number. You need this in everything you do and you can't open a bank account unless you have one. So take lots of cash with you because this process takes about 2 weeks. Once you have this you're set to start your life in Bergen. |
