Where does life start? With birth? Possibly,
although I don't think so. For me, life started around the age of thirty-seven
when I finally realised that a nagging feeling I had been having on and off for
as long as I can remember, that I was being conned, became a reality. I don't
know why it is, but since then I started to see things with a clarity that had
previously been absent in my life. If want to call it a religious experience
you will be committing an irony of cosmic proportions. This revelation changed
my live out of all proportion to its simplicity. What was this new beginning?
What light dawned in this gloomy existence to cause such a dramatic change? It
was simply this; There is no God! And what flows from that? This planet is
ours, it belongs to us and we can do what we want with it. There will be no
judgement day, there will be no saviour. We are in charge to do as we please!
Wow, what a rush! In one swipe, all authoritarian figures are reduced to their
reality. They're no different from you and I. They derive their power from us
because we let them. Think about that! Throughout history God and his church in
whatever guises has been nothing more than a pretty effective control mechanism
on the population. Why is it that so many Gods exist on one planet? Why is it
that once popular Gods like Loke, Odin, Jupiter and Zeus, to mention but the
western ones, have fallen from grace. Why? Because it is far easier to
administer one all powerful God in preference to several dozen more troublesome
ones. What do they really have in common? Not peace and "Love thy
neighbour", but "fear me for I will judge you". Elementary
control and a very effective system adopted by the Mafia. Now there's a good
catholic connection..Hey, Christians, if you don't like this, forgive me! Take a
look around you. You schmucks have been patiently waiting for over two thousand
years for your saviour. I think he missed the train or went to a better party.
And by the way your saviour was not Jesus! Let's get this cleared up once and
for all time. Jesus never said he was the son of God. He proclaimed himself the
King of the Jews. Big difference. Jesus was a political activist. nothing more.
He was the pre-runner to Che Guevera, no more. He fought against a cruel and
corrupt regime. Not against the Romans but against the church. that's why they
nailed him to a tree. They shot Che. He fought against injustice and
enslavement. Nobel stuff, a real hero - no really. But son of a deity, I don't
think so.
Stand back, look at things with the eyes of reason, open your
mind and stop believing the horseshit that those in power would have you
believe so blindly. You're a highly evolved Human, the result of millennia of
evolution in the art of survival against innumerable odds. This middle man
stuff is quaint and sweet but please, use you own reasoning and intelligence.
Take it from me, you will feel much better about yourself.
