March 16, 2003 the convergence run between
the Surrey, New Forest, Thames Valley and the Chelsea
& Fulham chapters at The Barley Mow Pub, Tilford, near Farnham.
The
day was perfect, blue skies, dry roads. Some 57 bikes
showed up for the run from Thames valley. The route
was well organised and the whole show went without incident.
It must have produced an impressive sight.
A
whole pig on a spit and not one piece left over after
the bash.
A
great deal of credit must go to Scottie from the Chelsea
and Fulham chapter for organising this bash.
All
in all some 178 bikes showed. Parking became a problem
until we simply took the whole road over.
Of
course this sort of spectacle brings in the sightseers.
My
haven't they been busy with the chrome cleaner?
And
didn't the pub do well?
All
in all a really great day out.
