This
was supposed to be the first night at our "adopted
pub". I met the Landlord the previous Sunday and
he asked me what he should expect as a turn out. I suggested
that if the weather was good it might be as high as
20 but if there was a cloud anywhere between here and
America the numbers might be less.
So here's the announcement from the
Chapter's Web Site.
The Chapter now has a new
"Local": The Royal Oak at Knowl Hill
We'll be meeting there on the
second Wednesday of the month throughout the summer commencing on Wednesday 14
May - full details can be downloaded from the Events Page.
As
it turned out ....
Biker night at the Royal Oak.
Wait
a mo, do I see chrome in the far corner?
Oh
Yes. Here they are.
Guys, this is pathetic in the extreme.
Chapter attendence was 4 bikes and two cars.
I seem to remember the club being proud
in becoming Harley club of the year. I somehow don't
think we're deserving of that title now. I mean I've
seen better turnouts at Chelsea and Fulham meets.
And
if this Noble man can make the effort to travel some
40 miles where were all you posers who live in Reading
Maidenhead and Windsor?
The Chapter President made an appearance
as did a rather bemused Triumph enthusiast (on his bike).
Here's
the Landlord wondering when the rest would show...............
....
and here resigning himself to a night of low takings.
Make an effort guys! This is a bike
club - if you like dressing up and posing and ponsing
about join a country and western club!
I was warned when I announced I would
lambast the club "You'd better watch
out, Wolf, they'll come round and scowl at you!"
