Grading

 

Firstly, gradings are not compulsory, however they are recommended as they provide an excellent way of understanding how you are progressing and where you need to improve. It also means that your trainer has put pen to paper and reflected on where you need improvement, helping him/her to focus on those areas with you.

Gradings taking place approximately every four months and in addition to receiving an official certificate you will also be given a grading report from your trainer listing how you are performing in the various areas and where you need to improve. The areas reported on are:

Respect, Attitude, General fitness, Pad Holding, Flexibility, Punching, Kneeing, Use of Elbows, Sparring and General Comments

 

 

Although gradings are to World Kickboxing Association standards your grade will reflect your ability in Thai Boxing.
