Sensational story for Ezesurf users here, this is the truth about Ezesurf, in it's full glory. It was passed onto me by an Ezesurf employee and it is the most sensational news this sight has ever received. Here it goes, an exclusive from an 'Ezesurf Dundee Operative' unedited (except for some spelling changes) and in its full glory:

"In September 1999 Mr. Matt Bryson created a revolution in net charges he created 08004u. This was great in theory. He then proceeded to run the service into the ground with bad management and by jumping into things before thinking. He ended up with a big bill for Eurex (I think this is correct name). This bill is still unpaid and he is being chased by debt companies for the balance (there are also outstanding warrants form fife and Dundee sheriffs). This was all done under the guise of Dundee Network Solutions, a small seedy company in a small dingy office situated at 38 Whitehall street, Dundee. He then switched to Powernet (where the 08004u/ezesurf VISP's are still hosted). In his eagerness to hurry up the transfer he decided to forego the CLI username and password protection on this! - Remember the great story, CLI was not in place due to the programmer who was to have implemented it was hurt in an accident, what rubbish it was yet another story made up by Matt and told to you the public who have always been told just what he had thought up in that instant. I felt sorry having to tell lies to you all and having you all wait on those lines costing you so much and filling his pocket! Well that collapsed - the freecall part that is! And as you know you were promised freecall the next day and the next day and the next day, it never came. To keep Dundee trading standards from closing him down something had to be done and Matt had our techno whiz kid sort out an algorithm that would change only 1 0800 number into an code that you put into the software. The person who had given him the most grief was given this 1 day before everyone else and managed to get on! There was only one line and it was redirected to a 0845 dial up of ours. The one customer contacted TS(Trading standards) straight away and informed them that she managed to get online and all was well. That cleared him some breathing space. You were all trying in vain to get on that service sorry folks 1 person at a time with no kick off! You were wasting your time. During this some people had asked for refunds. These were processed by us and passed to Matt for refunding. The refundee's very rarely got them as Matt was too busy trying to sort out a new deal with Energis and Planet! Some token refunds were given. For the next couple of months nothing really happened until the money made from 08004u ran out! Where were the wages! Nobody got paid! Now at the time Matt had never been too reliable in the wages dept. and they were always a few days late, we didn't mind as we knew matty boy would sort it out! Nope instead we pledged to him our support in knowing that everything would be sorted out soon, we had faith in the company and knew it would work. He offered us a company share each and our own domain names which we have had taken away and never again has the company share been mentioned. Well the energis/planet deal went through and we all celebrated Ezesurf launching and the first few £199 signups went straight to our wages NOT! but first he bought himself a new state of the art PC and a new car then paid us in dribs and drabs. Well everything went well and we increased or staff size to about 22. Then he decided to cut back and the staff has gradually been shortened to about 5 in Dundee and he started to travel to move to his scene in Manchester and left us with no head at all and no authority to do anything. Our pay began to get later and later in the month and now the Dundee office is all but closed, the staff there now turn up on Mondays to be told by Keri that you are on holiday for re-networking of the office. Something that does not need to be done as or tech wiz kid has already installed a great network that worked fine. Now we find that our wages have been getting taxed Matt's idea of emergency tax 33% or something and the inland revenue have not even seen a penny of it. Most of money will probably never be seen again! As yours may be! The amounts outstanding to the employee's is great and ranges from about £100 to £1000 in tax money overpaid!
He is currently being investigated by the inland revenue, trading standards and the employment services for mis-use of new deal funds.
Do you stay in Nottingham as he has started a new office down there at the broadway business center, he tried to hide this from the Dundee office and he still says that the Dundee office has a future. There are rumours today though because of supposed letters of suspension to one or more of the Dundee employee's. Your share certificates, forget them it was a gimmick he though of in order bring in more interest, ezesurf has no real way of knowing who has what. I doubt he will ever get that part together. All the files are still on paper.
I feel sorry for those poor new employee's down south, they don't know what they are getting into.
We wait and are due to be paid on the 4th will it happen we will wait and see.
Don't get me totally wrong, Ezesurf is has great potential but with Matt in charge be wary be very wary. With the right leadership and right frame of mind towards the customers Ezesurf could be the next biggest corporation in recent years. But in Matt's hands is more likely to spiral into the depths of oblivion."
